Welcome to CU Photography. My name is Chris and I am extremely fortunate.  I LOVE what I do for a living, and it shows!  I put all of my creativity into making artistic freestyle images which are loaded with fun, class and emotion.

My photographic style is an fusion of freestyle wedding photography, fashion influenced poses, and casual portraits. My goal is to capture both the spontaneous as well as scripted moments of your wedding day.  Many of my fondest memories growing up are captured in print, and I am honoured and thrilled that you are looking to have me do this for you.

My enthusiasm for photography began with my dad, Randy.  He is responsible for sparking this lifelong passion in me.  Today, my parents Randy and Theresa are my biggest fans and marketing agents in their hometown of Warspite, AB.  I believe that my small town roots gave a unique perspective and sense of direction to my style of photography.  My influences and mentors now include amazingly talented lifestyle, portrait and wedding photographers from around the world.  Many of these photographer are my  good friends, and we openly share techniques, knowledge, and critique each others work.  Our group of friends even manages to meet up several times per year for conferences, seminars, and to have a generally fabulous time together!

With my small town upbringing, my clients are good friends, and I promise to treat you as I would my best friends.  I share in your joy and laugh with you at your better jokes (Please note, I just shake my head at the bad ones  haha).  While each wedding is equally important to me, I am continually working to "one up" myself in the quality and vision of my work at every wedding.  I spend a great deal of time educating myself on the latest techniques, equipment and software.  I am always searching out new ideas, perspectives, and ways to showcase my best work for you, my friends and clients.

I am a member of the PPA (Professional Photographers of America), and I bind my service levels to that of this prestigious group of photographers.

When not photographing weddings, I play slow pitch and paintball, ride my motorcycle and socialize with friends on Whyte Avenue.  I firmly believe in Zig Ziglar's philosophy that "You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want."

I am also involved with a number of non-profit organizations.  I am an affiliate photographer for Now I lay me Down to Sleep, as well as the American Child Photographers Charity Guild.  Both of these non-profit organization are dedicated to offering parents experiencing the loss or impending loss of a child, the opportunity to document the love that they feel for their little one, and to capture those moments with their child.   My time and services are volunteered free of charge to families experiencing this loss.

If you know of a family in this situation, please contact me by telephone or by email.
